Women & Children First?
Many churches resemble nothing quite so much as 'giant lifeboats!' - places into which women and children have been ushered whilst the men have chosen to take their chances!
While many men, even today, find Jesus Christ an intriguing and even attractive person the majority of men are turned off by church.
If Christ is to be our example in all things - including how we approach God's work - are we taking sufficient note of the way that he connected with men, communicated with them, and recruited them to his cause?
In Bob's message to our mbg breakfast on 12 May we looked at Jesus getting alongside men, drawing them into conversation with, and commitment to, himself - and considered some practical conclusions that will impact our own efforts to reach men for Christ.

Who’s guilty?
Jesus once set a guilty woman free from her accusers by showing that the people who were judging her were just as guilty of sin as she was. “All right, stone her,” he said to the religious leaders who were ready with stones in hand to deliver the judgment she indeed deserved. “But let those who have never sinned throw the first stones!”
